The OMYGA students witnessed

the final day of competition

between the professional golfers

of Lake Nona Golf & Country

Club against those of Isleworth

Golf & Country Club. This year

Team Lake Nona won on their

home turf with a final score of

17 - 13.

Every year the OMYGA attends this intense two-day, 18-hole stroke tournament. The students have the

opportunity to follow and observe world class professional golfers. This year participants for Team

Isleworth included captain Mark O'Meara, Robert Allenby, Stewart Appleby, Daniel Chopra, Darren Clarke,

John Cook, J. B. Holmes, Charles Howell III, Nick O'Hern and Tiger Woods. Team Lake Nona participants

included captain Ernie Els, Ben Curtis, Chris DiMarco, Retief Goosen, Trevor Immelman, Graeme

McDowell, Mark McNulty, Ian Poulter, Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson.

Team Isleworth claimed the 2004, 2006 and 2008 Tavistock Cup titles. Team Lake Nona won its first

Tavistock Cup in 2007. In 2005 the teams finished in a tie.

OMYGA students divided into

small groups to observe their

favorite players as they competed.

interviewed Dr. and Mrs. Dorsey

along with some of the students at

the 18th hole.
